Why a GAON

I live in the United States, and the national ID number is the Social Security number. However, everyone seem to have a need for this number, and now it is more likely that a bad actor has your Social Security number when they shouldn’t. In Kaldus, there will be the Government Issuance Number (GIN) which requires retina verification to receive the GIN. This number must never be given out. There is also. the National ID Number (NIN) which is a public number, and it is actually safe to provide this number. So, you aren’t allowed to give out your GIN, and everyone knows your NIN, how do you acquire new services, and make new applications?

This is where the Government Authorized Order Number (GAON) comes in. Going to the government portal, and logging in with your GIN and password, you will provide the Business ID, and from there, you would get a GAON. This is the government’s way of saying, “Yes, this person is who they say they are”. The person will now go to the company they wish to apply for services with, and provide their GAON which is the substitute for the GIN. The thing is the GAON is only good with that company when in combination with a particular NIN, and good for 30 days of issuance for it to be valid. This means that if someone does get a hold of your GAON, the damage is minimal or none. It allows the citizen to be overly paranoid of their GIN, and they should be. No One but the person, and government should know the GIN. This even applies with guardian, and children. While a child is a child, there is a different number that is provided from the GIN, because not even the guardian should know the child’s GIN.
