The GAON (Government Authorized Order Number) is intended to protect the identity of the person without compromising on service efficiency. All companies operating in Kaldus will be required to set up accounts the same way. Otherwise, any fraud actions done with using that company can be held responsible. With that said, the company will need two things. The first is the NIN card(s), and the second is the GAON. The GAON and NIN must be a correct pair to be allowed to create an account. Only the customer can acquire a GAON. They will log into the government site, and acquire the GAON from that source. The GAON will be good for 30 days.
This applies to even foreigners not living in Kaldus. If for example, a company wished to purchase multiple computers for Kaldus Computer Industries, then an account might be required. The buyer will first need to acquire a GIN, and NIN from the Kaldan government in order to get a GAON. The acquisition of these numbers will cost money, but this is for the time and effort for the DNA swab. They can use the image provided by the government site for their ID, but if they wish an ID card, they will have to go through HHS.
The GAON is basically the backing of the government to tell the company that yes, this is the person to open an account with you, and verification is the GAON. Since the pairs must match, another person can not take your GAON and activate service in your name even if they were to go to the same company. This is why the ID card is important. Everyone knows your NIN, and the ID card has a picture to match the ID number. If the picture doesn’t match, then that should raise some concerns.
When acquiring a GAON, there could be a QR code that will be provided to give to the representative to scan the QR code rather than writing down the number, and having a chance to make mistakes. Online activation of an account can support copy/paste from within the computer.
The GAON is only required once. To make changes with the current account will just involve the normal channels of the business. If the customer terminates services, and wants to acquire services again, they will need a new GAON.
