Social Welfare

Social welfare programs are intended to help those that live at 150% of poverty. These programs are in addition to the GBI and Health 1 programs that are available to everyone. With that said, one would need to select the program they will need to apply for. This will always be after logging into the HHS website (https://hhs.ka/login), and go to Social Welfare > Services > Service Name. Since everyone already has an HHS account once they receive a GIN, this would be relatively easy to do. From there, they can apply for what program they will need, and from there – they should be able to receive a response pretty quickly.

Everyone needs an HHS account for GBI benefits, and Health 1 benefits. The applicant can use the website with a web browser, or download the Kaldus Government App from the respective App Store. In either instance, they may have to verify they are whom they say they are if this is the first time logging in. This will be done by 2FA verification which HHS will encourage the use of that resource for account protection. 2FA is recommended to use an authenticator app like Ka-Wallet App.
