CWS is Child Welfare Services. This agency is intended to look out for the well being of children in Kaldus. This will include removing children from an abusive guardian, and may even pursue criminal charges for child abuse. Also, CWS intervenes if the child is delinquent. This will include going into foster care, or a CWS supervised group home. This is all intended to get the child on the right path so they can be a productive member of society.
CWS will be responsible for training foster parents into becoming a standard guardian that would meet the child’s needs. With regards to payment, the GBI will provide for some compensation for raising a minor, but if there was greater need – then CWS might also be able to help by providing additional resource. Since CWS is a part of HHS, the foster parent can also receive SNAP resources. Keep in mind, that school is all year round, and most children will be able to eat breakfast and lunch at school from Monday – Friday.
To file a concern for investigation, one would go to Social Welfare > Services > CWS. They can file all of the information they know about the situation. Anything that can be validated with pursue a further investigation. The reporter will not be disclosed beyond the CWS department of Health and Human Services.
