EHP

The EHP (Emergency Housing Plan) is intended for single person households that lost their residence. Rather than being stuck in a homeless shelter, they can call 211 to try to get a SRO (Single Room Occupancy). The SRO will be very minimal, and will cost 35% of income per month. The room will have a sleeper sofa, corner desk, and a television. All SROs will have a lavatory which provides for a toilet, and sink. On each floor, there will be shower rooms that the tenant can use. Only the National Charity Services can own and manage SROs. This is due to the need to make them quality for the tenants that would otherwise be homeless. The tenant must apply for AHRP or LIHP to continue to qualify for the EHP program.

Internet, and network television will be included. The tenant will be responsible for their own telephone service. Each SRO will have an WAN RJ45 jack, and the tenant will buy a Wifi router to plug into the jack. They can then use a SIP phone, or connect their smartphone with the router.
