Social Welfare

Social Welfare programs are provided to any family that is considered as low income. This will include housing assistance, food assistance, assistance with communication services, and so on. The social welfare program will assure that those who need it the most gets it. For a single person, $1,300 will be considered as poverty. This means that if you are receiving GBI as your only source of income, then you would definitely qualify for these social welfare programs.

All of the programs in this section will apply to anyone as mentioned above. Any of the following programs can be applied for, but it should only be applied for if needed. If you are in need of food assistance, then you should apply for food assistance. However, if you are able to acquire all of the food that you would need, then applying for food assistance will only add strain to HHS’s resources.
