Why Health1?

Health1 is essentially the single payer healthcare system for Kaldus. While developing countries have almost no healthcare, much of the industrialized world has single payer, and despite its flaws, it is the best system all around. Health1 is provided to every citizen for free. Non-citizens can opt to pay into the system. This will allow for the insurance system to make a little money from the non-citizens, and offer all of the essentials for everyone.

Health1 will cover prescription drugs, doctors, and specialists visits, necessary inpatient hospital stays, and home health services such as helping a disabled person with cleaning. Health1 will provide for a reasonable rate, so while doctors can probably make more money in the US, they are guaranteed that they will have any patient that wants to see them. Health1 will also provide for surgeries for necessary treatments, and provide for prosthetics (including dentures and eye glasses).

Health1 does not cover for non-prescription drugs, nor do they cover for surgeries that is not medically necessary. This will include facelifts, breast augmentation, nor will they provide for drugs except for treating illnesses. This will likely include drugs such as Cialis, or Viagra.
